Turner’s wholesale company, J. Turner Seafoods, opened in Gloucester in 1989. John Turner purposely designed the company to accommodate reduced fish landings and strict government regulations initiated in the 1980s. Like its predecessor Turner Fisheries, J. Turner distributes only the finest quality seafood available. The company wholesales to customers both in and out of state with deliveries made via their own trucks, common carrier trucks, the airlines, and overnight express carriers.

Traditional New England ground fish and shellfish complemented by steak fish flown in fresh daily from all over the world comprise the core products of J. Turner Seafoods. Imported fresh and frozen specialties as well as live lobsters complete the product line for those customers seeking a full line selection.
