While the North Shore town is most well-known for its association with the Salem Witch Trials, it also has the best seafood restaurant in Massachusetts, according to Yelp's list of the top seafood restaurant in every state.
Here's what to know before eating at Yelp's top seafood spot in the state.

Yelp is naming a Salem seafood joint as the best in the state.
From deep-fried to soaked in butter, the site released its list of the best seafood spots in each of the 50 states.
Turner's Seafood in Salem was named Yelp's best in Massachusetts.
The Turner family has been delivering the "quintessential New England seafood experience" for more than 100 years, Yelp said about the establishment.
Daily catches for Turner's are processed at the family's Gloucester plant and delivered to the restaurant the same day, the ranking said.

Turner's Seafood in Salem, Massachusetts, is home to authentic New England style seafood and paranormal activity.
The restaurant sits on land with a history dating back to the 1600s. It was Bridget Bishop's apple orchard, and to this day, some guests at the restaurant report the smell of apples.
